Meet Dr. Otto Dohm of Locally Owned and Family Owned Dakota Periodontics
Dr. Dohm attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, obtaining his DDS degree in 1985, and then completed a residency at the University of Iowa, obtaining his Specialty Certificate and Master of Science degree in 1987.
He established and has maintained a private specialty practice in periodontics in Bismarck, ND, since July 1987.

Dr. Dohm has been a member of the American Academy of Periodontology.
- He is a member of the Missouri Slope Dental Society, the North Dakota Dental Association, and the American Dental Association
- He is a current member of the Midwest Society of Periodontology
- He has served as a trustee, as well as president, of the North Dakota Dental Association
He has received multiple awards during his years of service, including Outstanding Young Dentist and Outstanding Achievement awards from the North Dakota Dental Association.
Dr. Dohm has presented multiple seminars on periodontal treatment and periodontal plastic surgery, as well as treatment of failing implants. He is an active member of Spear Study Club, which is a multidisciplinary group of providers dedicated to improving the level of care, as well as outcomes for our patients.

Meet Dr. Brady Skytland, New to Dakota Periodontics
Dr. Skytland is a periodontist at Dakota Periodontics in Bismarck and a proud native of Mandan. He earned his undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He then received advanced specialty training in periodontics through his residency at the University of Pittsburgh.
He provides a full scope of periodontal care, with particular interests in dental implants, soft tissue grafting, and advanced surgical therapies to restore oral health and function. As a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Skytland is committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Returning to Bismarck-Mandan has allowed Dr. Skytland and his wife to raise their two children close to both of their families. He is excited to be back in the community he grew up in and looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients.
